Reporting your child absent

Please help us keep your child safe by letting us know promptly if they are going to be off school.
We are also required by law to keep a record of authorised and unauthorised absences.
It is parents/carers responsibility to let us know before the start of the school day if a child is not coming in. You can do this by:
• Ringing us on 01924 326756
• Calling into the school office in person
• Sending an e-mail to email@example.com
We will ask you your child’s name, Class, why they are absent and who is calling. Please note we will not accept information from other children.
We ask that parents do this for every day the child is absent.
If we are not aware of why a child is absent, the school office team will try to contact parents/ carers in the first instance. After that we will try all other contacts that we have details of.
If no contact is made and the whereabouts of the child is still unknown, in line with Local Authority recommendations, school may do a home visit or contact the police to initiate a “safe and well” check.
